Rockford, IL (April 20, 2016) – Rockford Specialties is pleased to announce the expansion of its wire forming capabilities with the acquisition of two new AIM AccuForm automated CNC 3D wire bending machines. The AFM 3D 8S accepts wire diameters from 2-8mm or 0.080-0.315 inches, and the AFM Synchro 3D 13S supports diameters from 5-13mm or 0.197-0.500 inches.
“We’re excited about the possibilities this state-of-the-art equipment affords us and our customers, especially those in the Medical Supply, Industrial Food, Point-of-Purchase and Furniture markets. Both machines are fully automated, which means we can manufacture more complex pieces with multiple bends and even greater accuracy and repeatability – qualities Rockford Specialties is known for. The 13S in particular supports complex bends with larger diameter wire, which is especially attractive to our OEM and Furniture customers. And because they’re programmable, we can have new processes up and running with shorter than ever lead times, which is a key benefit to customers looking to minimize inventory costs,” said Lisa Stankey, President at Rockford Specialties.
